EIS Scoping

The EIS scoping comment period commenced on June 18th, 2010 and concluded on August 2nd, 2010. Comments received or postmarked after that date will be considered to the extent practicable.

Public Meetings

When publishing its Notice of Intent to prepare an EIS on June 18th, 2010, the DOE opened a 45-day scoping period during which the public was invited to participate in the identification of potential environmental impacts that may result from the project. The DOE conducted seven scoping meetings along the route. Check the Schedule page for the locations and dates of these meetings or, to be notified of upcoming public involvement opportunities via email, please enter your email address in the Subscribe box to the right.

Questions about the EIS, and requests to be added to the document mailing list, should be addressed to Dr. Jerry Pell at the DOE. How do I obtain a copy of the Draft and Final EIS?

When the Draft and Final EIS documents are published, these documents will be available upon request, on this Web site, and at locations to be determined.
